| You know it is springtime in Georgia when:
You have to dig your car out from under more pollen in a week than you did snow all winter.
Everything looks yellow, even the air.
Your make your kids spray themselves with the hose before you'll let them in the house.
People in dust masks appear everywhere... even inside buildings and cars.
You carry allergy medication with you everywhere you go.
The nursery workers will let your child into the nursery if you give them "allergies" as the explanation for why your child has snot all over his face.
You won't open doors or windows, no matter how great the temperature is outside.
Half the population won't go to work because of death by pollen or the fear of it.
There is no rain, but you still have to use your windshield wipers to be able to see.

| I can't sleep. I'm not even tired. So I'm sitting here playing dumb computer games and messing around with facebook. This is what I get for sitting around and eating food for two days. I have way too much energy to be doing that. How was everyone's Christmas?! Mine was very good, although I am sad that it's over. I listened to the radio until the Christmas songs ended at midnight tonight :( Last year we had a family reunion and our entire family carpooled our way up to Pennsylvania the two days after Christmas. We split up into our cousin groups and got to hang out with each other as we drove and drove and drove. And it snowed! It was so beautiful driving through the mountains of West Virginia as it covered the trees and mountains with white. I know we looked ridiculous when we stopped for lunch and all the kids went nuts as we piled out of the cars and scraped snow off the parking lot so we could have snowball fights. Then the boys pelted us as we unloaded the cars that night at the hotel. When we got to the lodge, we went sledding down this huge hill. That was one of the most fun things I have ever done! Alli, Bethany, Jared and I got to have our own room and we ate tons of junk food. The next day some of us went skiing. I'm really bad at it, and we managed to totally mess up the ski lift when we ran over two of my relatives, but it was fun. I found many creative ways to fall on my face, although I didn't hit any trees. The next day we coudln't move we were so sore. All us kids went to a movie together and then to the mall. It was so fun. I wish we did that every year! It was nice to have something to look forward to after Christmas was over. But... I do have a graduation party, New Year's Eve party, Beka, and all the wedding stuff coming up... so I'll stay busy. Oh yeah, and working out the job situation. For all you people who think that I'm actually just planning on sitting around and doing nothing, I'm not As evidenced by the fact that I can't go to sleep, I really need more to do. So I'm still not tired. I think I'm going to watch Equilibrium now, because it's pretty much the best movie ever, and Allison is the coolest person ever for getting it for me for Christmas!!!! | | |
